Justin was sold to Mary when he was almost 11 months old.. I asked Mary to bring him to American Spaniel Club where Tracey and I would be able to evaluate him for show potential and see how he did. After finding him under a pile of hair, we went into the ring and pulled off two huge wins!! Wow - my first big specialty win where I did the handing and it was totally unexpected! Mary’s first dog show and what a pile of goodies she got to take home! Justin also won at his very next show in Greenville, SC. He came to stay with me for a couple of weeks while Mary went to check out New Mexico, and we picked up a couple more points, and won our BBE class at the National, leaving Justin only needing 3 singles to finish. Mary found a house in Las Cruces, NM and headed west. His cousin Henry (Murdoch x Carly) joined Justin and Mary in October, '03. Sadly, Justin left us far too early after being stung by bees at his favorite doggy day ranch, and dying of anaphylactic shock, September 2005. Mary and Henry have since moved on to Portland, OR.
